Tide pools...

This day we went to the tide pools near LaJolla.  We had been there previously on a homeschool field trip and had enjoyed it so much we went back for another day of it!  We didn't see as much this time, but it was still a fun day and time well spent with one another.

Seals...

After getting back from our trip, we all headed down to what we refer to as "Seal Beach."  It is a beautiful view of the Pacific from there, and to some fun and amazing seals.  This time of year is their birthing time.  So we were hoping to see some little guys around there this time, and we were not disappointed.

This little seal was born 15 mins. before we got there.  

The water was strong for the baby, as it kept pulling her/him out from shore.

But Mama would get out in front of her baby and push/nudge her baby back towards the shore.
